Meet the Directors
RUDY BILICH and his wife Pam have been Mt. Lebanon residents for more than 30 years. Rudy spent 36 years working for Deloitte Tax LLP before retiring in 2014. As a partner in the Pittsburgh office, he worked with retail and manufacturing companies, as well as hospital, not-for-profit and higher education institutions. He has been on various committees of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public accountants, including serving as state president in 2010-11. He also is a member of the Board of Trustees of Wheeling Jesuit University. Rudy earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and business administration from Wheeling Jesuit and his MBA from Duquesne University.
MIKE BLEHAR and his wife Beth Evans moved to Mount Lebanon from the Philadelphia area in 1990. They moved to Mount Lebanon after being encouraged that this would be a great place to raise kids. They have three children. Mike is a founding principal with Fort Pitt Capital Group, a money management firm with $950,000,000 under management. Mike has been a long-time youth basketball coach, is a board member of the local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is a member of the Financial Planning Association
GLORIA BLINT moved to Mt. Lebanon in 1992 with her husband Jim and raised two children, Matthew and Jessica, in our vibrant community and outstanding school system. In 1993, she co-founded Red House Communications, a marketing communications firm in Pittsburgh’s South Side, where she currently serves as President/CEO and works with numerous Pittsburgh not-for-profit organizations. Previously, Gloria served on the boards of Mt. Lebanon Extended Day and Three Rivers Adoption Council, and currently serves on marketing committees for the Advisory Council of Vision of Hope with the Pennsyvanial Coalition Against Rape, and the board of Prevent Child Abuse Pennsylvania.
JEREMY CHURCH first moved to Mt. Lebanon with his parents in 1984. He attended elementary, middle and high school in Mt. Lebanon before attending Culver Military Academy prep as a junior and senior. He and his wife returned to Mt. Lebanon in 2008 with their two sons, who are both in grade school. Jeremy is vice president, media and content strategies at WordWrite Communications, a strategic media relations, crisis communications, public affairs and inbound marketing agency downtown. He has been an ice hockey player or coach for nearly 35 years. Starting in 2002, he spent 12 years coaching at Culver Military Academy prep, Shady Side Academy and for Mt. Lebanon High School. Jeremy played two seasons at Hobart (NY) College before transferring to Ohio University, where he earned his journalism degree in 1998.
SHANNON CREW and her husband, Paul DiGirolamo, have lived in Mt. Lebanon since 1995. They have two daughters currently enrolled in the district. Since 2000, Shannon has worked as an attorney for Houston Harbaugh, downtown. She is a director and member of the estates and trusts practice group. Prior to that, she spent six years working for PNC in its trusts department. Shannon earned her law degree (cum laude) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law after graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington and Jefferson College. Shannon was also valedictorian of her high school class at West Mifflin Area High School.
DR. ROBERT GANNON moved to Mt.Lebanon with his wife, Nancy, and four children in 1967. By 1972 the family expanded to six children and now thirteen grandchildren. Five of the six children went through the Mt. Lebanon School System, the sixth with special needs finished in the St. Anthony Program. Son, Mark, and daughter, Meghan reside in Mt. Lebanon and their children have also attended the school system. Professionally, Dr. Gannon specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 35 years. He is now retired from active practice but continues to volunteer regularly at the Catholic Charities Free Health Care Center. He serves on the Professional Advisory Committee for Family Hospice. He is a certified coach for Special Olympics, coaching daughter Erin, a two time medal winner for golf in the Special Olympics World Games.
MARK GLEASON and his wife Sue have resided in Mt. Lebanon since 1980. Mark and Sue raised their four, now-grown children in the community and continue to enjoy the family-centered atmosphere, the neighborhood amenities, and the well-respected school district. Mark is the founder and managing director of Gleason & Associates P.C., a specialized financial consulting services firm that analyzes complex financial matters. He is a certified public accountant and holds four other professional credentials. His firm employs more than 30 professionals and has been recognized as one of Pittsburgh’s “Best Places to Work” and as one of “The Pittsburgh 100,” the region’s fastest growing private companies. Mark is a former Mt. Lebanon school board member, the past president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Board of Western Pennsylvania, past president of Outreach South, former board member of the St. Clair Management Resource Group, and served on the St. Bernard’s Parish Council.

BOB GOODRICK and his wife Janeen have lived in Mt. Lebanon since 1988. Both are graduates of Westminster College and have three children educated in the Mt. Lebanon school system. Bob is currently vice president of sales for RR Donnelly Pittsburgh. Prior to joining RR Donnelly, he was president of Geyer Printing. Bob has been a board member of the Pittsburgh Marketing Association and has served on various fund raising committees for the March of Dimes.
JAMIE HANKINS and his wife Faye Silver and three children moved to Mt. Lebanon in 1994, returning to where his wife’s family had moved in the early 1980s. Jamie is a Partner in Alpern Rosenthal’s Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services Group, where he works extensively assisting clients with planned giving and related estate planning strategies. With a focus on his children and the community, Jamie has coached numerous youth soccer teams and held leadership positions with several area non-profit organizations, including the Mt. Lebanon Soccer Association and the Mt. Lebanon Soccer Foundation.
RICK HOSKING and his wife, Beth, grew up in Mt. Lebanon and graduated from MLHS in 1973. They moved back to Mt. Lebanon in 1981 and live in the house in which Beth grew up – on Youngwood Road. They have 3 daughters, ages 26, 23 and 18, each of whom attended Markham Elementary and continued through to MLHS. Rick is a law partner at K&L Gates LLP, where he has specialized in corporate trial work since 1980. Beth has worked as a dental hygienist with Jim Ferguson, DDS on Washington Road since 1977 and is a Stephen Leader and Minister at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Rick and Beth are both active on numerous charitable boards and with Mt. Lebanon childrens’ sports activities.
JOE RODELLA and his wife Katie moved to Mt. Lebanon in time to see that their four children took advantage of the great opportunities provided by the Mt. Lebanon School District. Joe is an Account Director for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a global networking and telecommunications manufacturer. Joe also served a four year term on the Mt. Lebanon School Board, including two years as its President. Having served the Pittsburgh area in many volunteer capacities, Joe is also currently the Head Coach of the Varsity Hockey team at Canon McMillan High School.
DAVID ROOT, JR. is founder and CEO of D.B. Root & Company, David concentrates his practice on helping the families of high-net worth individuals with comprehensive wealth management. Prior to establishing D.B. Root & Company in 1994, David was President of Bill Few Associates, a Pittsburgh-based investment and financial advisory firm. He graduated in 1982 from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in economics.David’s expertise carries over into his community service initiatives as the Director of Finance for ASIAM (Asian American Institute for Research and Education – a UPMC Orthopedic Foundation chaired by Savio Woo, Ph.D.) and advisory board member of The Pittsburgh Foundation. He and wife Kathy live in Mt. Lebanon and are the proud parents of two sons, Jesse and Alec. In his spare time, David is passionate about hockey, an avid reader and an enthusiastic golfer.
KIRSTEN RYDSTROM is a lifelong resident of Mt. Lebanon (with the exception of her college years). She is a partner in the Pittsburgh office of Reed Smith, LLP, where she focuses her practice on litigation issues relating to intellectual property and technology. She received her chemistry and economics degrees from Duke University, and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She is married to Chuck Vietmeier and they have one 11 year old son who is very active in Mt. Lebanon’s athletic and music programs.
JULIA VARHOLLA and her husband and children live in Mt. Lebanon. They enjoy outdoor activities, going to the movies and spending time with other family and friends. She has been an estate planning and trusts attorney Lovett Bookman Harmon Marks LLP since 2004. Her practice also includes estate administration. She earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2004 and served as the executive editor of The Journal of Law and Commerce. Julia also attained her professional certificate in Paralegal Studies from Duquesne University in 2000 and graduated magna cum laude with a history degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996.
