Donor Advised Funds
With a donor advised fund, the donor irrevocably transfers assets to the Community Endowment. The assets are invested and the annual earnings from the assets become available for grant making. The donor is able to participate actively in the grant making process, offering recommendations to the Foundation as to the purpose and/or recipients of the grant. The Foundation’s Board of Directors must approve these recommendations as being consistent with the overall mission and vision of the Foundation.
Field of Interest Funds
With a field of interest fund, the donor irrevocably transfers assets to the Community Endowment. The assets are invested and the annual earnings from the assets become available for grant making. The donor directs the Foundation to make grants from the annual earnings from the assets to recipients in one or more specific field of interest, such as the arts, education, the environment, health, youth programs, athletics, etc. The Community Endowment chooses the specific recipient within the designated field of interest.
With a designated fund, the donor irrevocably transfers assets to the Community Endowment. The assets are invested and the annual earnings from the assets are contributed to an organization designated by the donor. The fund may be named for the donor or another person, or for the organization.

The Mt. Lebanon Commission has approved a plan to install artificial turf on Middle and Wildcat Fields. This renovation has been a long time in coming and the Mt. Lebanon Sports Advisory Board sincerely appreciates the efforts of everyone who has taken time to offer their support for this initiative. This project will be a tremendous addition to the existing recreation opportunities in our community. From youth baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse, up to our high school athletic programs and even through some much anticipated adult leagues, these new fields will truly benefit all age groups. However, the work is not done.
We must raise approximately $250,000 in non-municipal funds to contribute to the project. To date, the various youth sports associations in Mt. Lebanon have contributed over $100,000 towards this goal.
Now we need your help. Your tax deductible donation will be added to the Field Improvement Project Fund created at Mt. Lebanon Community Foundation. Please make your donation today! All donors will be recognized for their contributions. Thank you very much for you continued support of this exciting community project.
